COOPER FINLAY CUP GOLD COAST MARCH 2022

We thank our host State, Queensland Veterans Cricket (QVC) for hosting this great event which has been growing for the last few years at an amazing rate. Last year our 2 day Tournament was curtailed after one day of keen contest in Tamworth, Gunnedah and Quirindi but we are all excited to be travelling north to re-open the engagement and catch up with old and new friends.

We congratulate the Queenslanders for being able to host such a large gathering (192 players from both States plus 2 teams of QLD Ladies Veterans) and especially President Rod Rice who, with his committee, and volunteers, has thrown so much effort into this event.

Mindful of the forecast, the New South Welshmen, are driving/flying gradually north as another massive rain bomb is about to hit the East Coast.

We wish everyone a safe journey and look forward to seeing everyone at the Meet and Greet in your State’s colours.

Let’s have a very enjoyable couple of days of good cricket, quality camaraderie and fun in the knowledge that, hopefully, the worst of Covid is behind us.
