NSW Vets Cricket season
Lots has been happening and is still to come in NSW Vets Cricket over the remainder of the season.
A successful 70s event was recently run as well as ever by the CC crew.
Newy Tavs are hosting a 65s event next week.
Highlands are running an invitation 60s T20 event (an interesting concept to be sure!) at Bowral & Mittagong also next week.
Then CC are again hosting, with a mammoth 50s State Championship at various venues towards the end of Feb, whilst MNC are also hosting a biggest entry ever 70s State Championships at Port Macquarie and nearby.
Early March sees an alternate 60s event in Orange, with a huge job done by President Simon, Gil McGrath and Wildfires chaps to get the opportunity for those able. The ‘Covid Cup’ should be a fun time for attendees. Warning - if not booked accommodation, get in NOW!
At the end of March, Tamworth host the 50s, 60s & 70s playing our mates from Qld for the Cooper-Findlay Cup. Greg Kellett & the Tamworth crew have already put in monumental efforts this year and with Quirindi & Gunnedah also being accessed, it’s a huge undertaking by all concerned.
Amongst that, no doubt various other comps from Classics & Vintage, Regional match ups & catchups in all age divisions will see most getting some cricket as wished.
Thanks to all at the various clubs and their associates for helping us all play on the ‘Men’s Shed In The Field’!
